JUDY ATTWOOD – ARTIST & PRINTMAKER
Judy was born in England and now lives in Greece. She completed her studies in
art and art history at the University of Manchester, being awarded a B.A. and
PGCE. She followed a career in teaching art and design, firstly in England and
then in Greece. For the past four years Judy has been working in the I.B.Visual
Arts department at Psychico College, Athens, she is also an examiner for the
International Baccalaureate (IB).
Judy has exhibited her work in solo and group exhibitions in Greece and abroad.
Thematically her work is concerned with the details found in the natural
environment. The fish in her work could be seen to represent the human
condition, sometimes a feeling of entrapment leads to an attempt to break free.
Recently she has focused on etching and printmaking techniques, she is a
member of the Society for Greek Printmakers.
Her website contains a prolific collection of etchings and aquatints, lino-prints, watercolours, oils and acrylics.
